A MAN appeared before magistrates yesterday facing charges of possession of drugs, intention to supply class A drugs and theft.
Peter Dennis West, 30, of Garmondsway Road, Ferryhill, is accused of possession of 20gms of cocaine with intent to supply and possession 14gms of cannabis resin.
He is also charged with steeling 26 aluminium road signs, which Jonathan Bambrough, prosecuting, said were found in Mr West's van.
Magistrates, sitting at Newton Aycliffe, declined jurisdiction and adjourned the case to March 31 for committal to crown court.
