Spennymoor manager Graeme Clark has ordered his players to stay focused as they prepare for their home game with Bamber Bridge today.
Moors haven't lost to their opponents in three matches this season, and Clark said: "The important thing is that the players mustn't be complacent.
"Just because we've beaten Bamber Bridge in a replay in the Trophy and drawn with them in the league doesn't mean we'll win.
"This is a game we need to win, because we're just a couple of victories away from the play-off zone."
New signing Stephen Capper is added to the squad, while Clark is also hoping to add more new faces soon.
Bishop Auckland are without a game today but they'll be keeping an eye on their relegation rivals.
Blyth, who are four points ahead of them, are at Prescot Cables, while fourth-bottom Gateshead are at Marine. Promotion-chasing Whitby, who take on Spennymoor next Wednesday, are at Burscough.
l Birtley Town have won their last five Wearside League games but manager Dave Smith reckons they cannot catch leaders Darlington RA.
"We have lost just four games all season and are on a bit of a run but a poor start has cost us,'' he said.
"The team was unsettled but we are now a solid unit and working hard.
"I can't really see us troubling RA and our aim is to finish in the top three,"
Smith has Calvin Magnus returning to a full-strength side against Gateshead Reserves at the International Stadium.
Second-top Stokesley SC are on cup duty, leaving the way open for Coxhoe Athletic to close in on the pair if they win at Wolviston.
Peter Croft is the only absentee for manager Gary Forrest.
Wolviston, who lost a ten-goal thriller against Coxhoe earlier in the season, have just one doubt, surrounding centre back John Patterson.
New Marske host Shotton Comrades and although the pair have identical points near the bottom of the table, the Seasiders have four games in hand.
New Marske miss captain Ian Johnson, Ben Walker and Chris Knight and will need to check the fitness of Adam Taylor and Danny Parkes.
Ferryhill Athletic visit Washington Nissan UK, who are two places and three points above them near the bottom.
"It is a six-pointer so far as we are concerned," claimed Ferryhill boss Mark Fanning, who welcomes the inclusion of Stuart Cottam and Andrew Howard. Tony Stafford cannot play.
Nissan have shown considerable improvement in recent weeks and are unbeaten in five.
For their home game with Ryhope CW, Harton and Westoe are still without injured Ian Simpson and Danny Burridge.
Stokesley SC, who suffered a rare defeat at Whitehaven last week, return to Cumbria for a Sunderland Shipowners' Cup tie with Windscale. They are hopeful that Nathan Haslam and Richard Hore, who were both at one time with Sheffield Wednesday, will be able to make the journey.
Jonathan Newton returned from injury in the second team last week and is included, but doubts surround Matthew Homan and Darren Paul.
Cleadon SC go to Cleator Moor Celtic unable to call upon Mark Johnson, Danny Nixon, Tony Fyall or Frank Johnson.
