BRITISH long-jump champion Chris Tomlinson has met 100 youngsters to discuss sports volunteering.
The Middlesbrough-born athlete was the key speaker at Tees Valley Sport's conference, which aimed to help sports enthusiasts.
The purpose of the Step Into Sport Conference, held at the Olympia Building, University of Teesside, on Friday, was to help young people who have signed up to be volunteers in sport to develop their coaching skills.
The youngsters who took part were aged 16 to 19 and came from further education colleges and sixth-form colleges from across the Tees Valley.
