APPRENTICE electrician Anthony Grossi has proved to be a bright spark.
The 21-year-old, of Sherburn Village, who works for Durham County Council, has won an award for the second successive year.
The former pupil at Belmont Comprehensive School, in Durham, has received the North-East Employers' Forum apprentice of the year, which follows his success in winning the McVickers Shield for the best second-year electrical apprentice at New College Durham.
Mr Grossi is in his last year of his Learning and Skills Council-funded apprenticeship and works for the building services division of Service Direct, Durham County Council's contracting arm.
