HEALTH chiefs are taking part in a roadshow to tell people about the services they run.
Easington Primary Care Trust staff will tour the district's town and villages by bus.
They will be available to discuss health services and provide information about issues such as improving nursing services for patients, healthy eating, getting fit, the new Urgent Care Centre and accessing services after GP hours.
People will also be available to find out about healthcare jobs.
All but one of the sessions will take place between 9.30am and 4pm. The series starts today, at Easington Council offices, in Seaside Lane.
There will be information on a scheme to promote excellence in nursing practice, a trust initiative on subjects such as preventing bed sores, and respecting patients' privacy and dignity.
On Thursday, at Horden Welfare Hall, there will be information on healthy eating, giving up smoking, allotment projects, and the patients' advice and liaison service.
Next Monday, the bus will visit Seaham Comprehensive School, where there will be information about careers in the trust.
At Blackhall Community Centre on Monday, February 21, people can learn about the patient and public involvement forum.
On Thursday, February 24 at Dalton Park, Murton, there will be information on the urgent care centre and out-of- hours care, and continuing healthcare.
On Monday, February 28, between noon and 4pm, at Shotton Community Centre, the subject will be healthcare for older people.
