FOUR students from a Stockton school will receive awards today from the town's MP Dari Taylor to mark their achievements.
The students at Bishopsgarth School, Harrowgate Lane, will be handed the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Award for Young People.
The Stockton South MP was invited to the presentation, which is part of Reward Week to acknowledge students.
Those receiving the award are Simon Atkinson, Michael Atkinson, Daniel Thomas and Martin Hill, who are all aged 15.
Mrs Taylor has additionally been asked to present an Inspirational Award to Russell Crawford, who is Bishopgarth School's lead learning mentor who nominated the students for their award.
Mrs Taylor said: "I know that these four young men were nominated for their awards because they have acted as role models to other pupils.
"We hear so often in the media of young people misbehaving, however, it is my experience that the majority of my younger constituents are actually very thoughtful and considerate."
