A LONE male singer in a church choir has appealed for more men to join him.
The Rev Robert Sellers recently formed a choir to serve churches in the Fountains area, near Ripon.
But while enough women stepped forward, Mr Sellers, the Rector of Fountains, was the only man.
"I'm afraid we're top heavy with soprano singers - and there's only me singing bass," said Mr Sellers.
"But it has not stopped us providing singing at services in the area."
The choir has already performed at Sawley, St Mary's, Studley Royal and Winksley and plan to visit more churches.
Anyone who can help expand the choir's male section is asked to contact the rector on (01765) 658260.
