A HEARTBROKEN mother has suffered more family anguish.
Tina Wilson, whose 19-year-daughter, Rachel, went missing three years ago, is expected to give identification evidence at the opening of an inquest tomorrow into the death of her 29-year-old son, Richard Anthony Hopkins.
Richard, nicknamed Benjy, was found dead at a property in Middlesbrough on Friday.
A police hunt and widespread appeals have failed to turn up any leads to the whereabouts of Rachel, who worked as a prostitute to feed a heroin addiction.
Rachel, who lived in Grove Hill, Middlesbrough, was last seen on security camera footage in the Woodlands Road and Southfield Road area of Middlesbrough at about 3.30am on May 31, 2002.
Police questioned kerb-crawlers and prostitutes and displayed hundreds of posters in an attempt to find clues to her fate.
Rachel is the third prostitute to have gone missing from Teesside streets in recent years. Donna Keogh, 17, has never been found, while Vicky Glass, 21, was found dead on the North York Moors in 2000.
Mrs Wilson once said: "I will never give up on her."
