THE inquest into the death of a man who was attacked outside a pub was opened and adjourned yesterday.
During the brief hearing at Teesside Coroners' Court, John Francis Carr, of Oak Walk, Loftus, east Cleveland, was formally identified by his wife, Deborah.
Mr Carr was taken to hospital on Saturday, January 22, following an altercation outside the White Horse pub, in Loftus. He died the next day.
Police are continuing the investigation into the death of the 34-year-old plasterer and bakery owner.
The fracas broke out in the High Street at about 6.30pm after Mr Carr was in an argument with two men.
Police arrested two local men and released them on bail while inquiries continue.
