CYCLIST Jessica Roberts is celebrating being selected for the British Cycling Talent Team.
The 15-year-old Northallerton College student was chosen from 3,000 riders across Yorkshire and the North-East to join the team.
Jessica, who lives in Northallerton, has been riding since she was about three years old, but has only been competing for the past year.
The British Cycling Talent Team is groomed for future glory and coached in a variety of disciplines, ranging from road racing and mountain-biking to cyclo-cross and track events.
Jessica will now be taking part in a series of training camps, including sessions at the Manchester Velodrome.
"It is a fantastic opportunity and I'll spend the next year finding out which discipline I am best at," she said.
"Then I'll concentrate on my chosen field and one day you might see me at the Olympics."
