KUNG fu experts have been teaching dancers martial arts moves to help them prepare for a show.
Instructors from the Oceans Apart kung fu club, in Durham City, have been working with the Moving Tides dance group to teach them Oriental movement techniques ahead of their performance at the city's Gala Theatre next month.
Expert Shaka Brown has been teaching disabled dancers moves from a Chinese lion dance for the Best Foot Forward 6 show on March 16, featuring groups from around the region.
Yesterday, Shaka put the dancers through their paces at Carrville Methodist Church, where Moving Tides, which teaches dance to adults with learning disabilities, meets.
The martial arts expert also took along the lion head he will use in Saturday's Chinese New Year celebrations in Millennium Place.
