A RADIO station which hopes to start broadcasting later this year is setting up a new contact point for its listeners.
Radio Teesdale, which has had two successful trials on the air, will open a new information drop-in point in the centre of Barnard Castle.
The station's studio and offices are at Enterprise House, on the edge of the town, but anyone wishing to get in touch can now call at the Training Shop, in the Market Place.
Staff will be able to give details about the radio station and opportunities to work for it in future. People will also be able to hand in community news, details of local events, and requests.
The new drop-in point will be opened today at 11am by magician Michael Vincent, who will entertain market day shoppers with some of his conjuring tricks.
Radio Teesdale has applied to Ofcom for a full-time licence and hopes to start broadcasting again in the autumn.
