AN exhibition of artwork is being held at Chester-le-Street Civic Centre.
The paintings, by Friends Watercolour Group, draw inspiration from natural forms and landscapes.
The group was formed in September 2002 from people who had been attending a watercolour class after the tutor was unable to commit long-term.
A number of the works on display will be for sale.
The group meets at Chester-le-Street Community Centre at 1pm on Thursdays and provides opportunities for members to continue their interest in painting and develop skills by pooling ideas.
There are also occasional sessions from hired tutors who are highly-skilled artists.
The group is relatively new to painting and new members are always welcome.
