AN evening tour of Durham Cathedral that will offer participants a look behind the scenes of one of the region's landmarks will take place next week.
The event, next Wednesday, has been organised by staff at Cuthbert's Hospice to raise much-needed funds for the unit.
Hospice president the Very Reverend Dr Michael Sadgrove will introduce the event, billed as "an intimate evening at the cathedral".
This will be followed by a tour of the building which includes areas not usually seen by visitors.
There will be a visit to the Chapter House and the Prison, where you can view the Monk's cell, followed by the Treasures of St Cuthbert.
The evening rounds off with supper, in the Undercroft, which is included in the £20 ticket price.
