A SCHOOL'S charity crusade in aid of the tsunami appeal brought joy to family homes in Sedgefield.
All 220 children attending Sedgefield Hardwick Primary School contributed to the fundraising effort which is on target to raise £1,000.
They collected sponsorship for tasks including tidying their bedrooms, making their beds, folding their clothes, doing their homework unpromted and missing sweets or television for the day.
One child in the nursery section has raised £30 and is still asking her mum for jobs to do about the house and another was sponsored to stop using a dummy.
Head Linda Johnston said: "This sponsorship idea was thought of by our nursery staff who wanted the children to have real involvement in raising money following the tsunami.
"We are absolutely delighted at the enthusiasm shown and are very proud of our children."
