MORE than 20 artists have met to discuss the prospect of a regional collective.
A meeting was held at the Scissors Paper Stone, an art gallery in Hutton Henry, and was attended by artists across County Durham, Teesside and Sunderland, and represented many different fields of art including textiles, photography, painting, digital art and sculpture.
Sculptor David Gross and artist Daniel Dahl each gave presentations.
The objective of the network is for professional artists and crafts people to join together in advancing different art forms.
If established, the group would hold exhibitions, workshops, and produce newsletters and a website about artists in the area.
