PUPILS have discovered their playground is in line for a £4,000 makeover.
Brandon Infants School, near Durham City, has become one of the first schools to benefit from the Supergrounds programme, which was launched six months ago by NatWest.
The school was nominated by parent Paul Marshall, who works at the NatWest branch in Bishop Auckland.
He said: "As a parent, I know how difficult it is for schools to raise funds and this scheme seemed an ideal way for us to improve the school grounds, to help the children develop."
Headteacher Ann Charlton said: "We are excited about working with Supergrounds to ensure that the playground makes a real difference to the lives of the children."
