A ROYAL Air Force band played a sell-out concert at the weekend to raise £3,000 for charity.
Money from the event at the Hambleton Forum, Northallerton will be split between Yorkshire Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer Research, the tsunami appeal and the RAF Benevolent Fund.
The band, from the RAF College at Cranwell, Lincolnshire, played a mixture of traditional and contemporary music.
The concert was organised by RAF Leeming and Hambleton District Council. Group Captain Ian Morrison, station commander, said: "This event made a significant sum of money for three major charities, and the tsunami appeal. The band played some fabulous music, and gave the audience a taste of the traditions of which we in the services are so proud."
