A WILDLIFE park is promising a half-term treat for families.
The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, in Washington, is hosting activities to attract lots of young visitors this half-term.
The centre has hundreds of ducks, geese, swans and flamingoes in more than 100 acres of park and nature reserve.
For the under-fives, there is a Splash Zone and early years play area while older children and parents can follow a discovery trail.
The trail, called Biodiversity - The Sum Of All Things, has been devised to teach more about conserving wildlife and habitats while exploring the reserve.
Visitors are also invited to join in craft sessions which take place each afternoon between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
A spokesman said: "Our experienced staff will help everyone make something really special to take home."
There is a nominal fee of 50p to cover the cost of materials.
There is also a restaurant on site, which overlooks the main entrance lake, which serves hot meals between noon and 2pm.
