A DARLINGTON man is working in South America to help flood victims.
Adrian Carey, 37, is the deputy divisional inspector for the RNLI in the North, and is leading a team of volunteers in Guyana, which has been hit by severe flooding.
He is one of 20 UK members of the search and rescue team who have been deployed to the capital, Georgetown.
More than 250,000 people have been made homeless since the floods hit, and one of Guyana's major dams is threatening to give way.
