A HOUSING expert has been chosen to manage thousands of Teesside council homes.
Dave Pickard, 43, has been appointed head of housing management services for Tristar Homes, based in Stocton.
Mr Pickard, who has worked in the housing industry for 23 years, has taken over from Paul Noddings.
He said: "Tristar Homes is investing a lot of money in the council properties and the housing management service has an extremely important role to play in both helping to protect that investment but also in working with residents and partner agencies to improve the Neighbourhoods that we serve."
Mr Pickard was formerly area manager with the William Sutton Housing Association in York. He has also worked for Newcastle City Council, Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council and the North British Housing Association.
He is married to housing executive, Lisa, who works locally for another organisation, and they have a two-year-old daughter, Annie.
