AN attacker could be jailed for years after he confessed to a serious sex assault on a woman.
Jordan Johnson, 21, yesterday pleaded guilty to attempted rape and indecent assault on a female victim, who is not named to protect her identity, on November 12.
Two charges of rape against the same woman were dropped after he pleaded guilty to the lesser charges during a hearing at Newcastle Crown Court yesterday.
Judge Tony Lancaster adjourned the case for the preparation of a pre-sentence report. Johnson, of Thornhill Gardens, Sunderland, was remanded in custody, and will be sentenced on March 7.
