A NEW book by Northern Echo freelance writer John Dean charts the changing face of Darlington streets. Darlington Then and Now takes the simple premise that the streets have changed dramatically down the years and that the best way to portray those changes is through photography.
John has taken pictures from the paper's archive and recreated them to show the many changes in the town down the years.
Published by Inscribe Media and Pro-Actif Communications, both of Darlington, the book costs £4.99 and is available at several outlets in Darlington, including Ottakar's, in the Cornmill Centre, and the Book Cellar, in the Market Place, and The Northern Echo front counter.
