IT is not an easy job to keep children quiet for long periods of time but a group of youngsters managed to keep silent for an hour.
Pupils at Durham Johnston School stayed quiet and raised £545 for the tsunami disaster appeal fund through sponsorship from family and friends.
The idea for the event came from two 12 and 13-year-olds in Form 8M and their 24 classmates rose to the challenge.
