YOUNG people delved into the past this week at a museum to find out how their ancestors dressed.
Preston Hall Museum, in Preston Park, Stockton, invited local children to consult a costumes scrapbook and build up their own pictures of people from the past.
Using the scrapbook, children were able to create their own vision of what a Victorian street urchin or Elizabethan courtier would have looked like using fabrics and lace.
The project is part of a week-long series of events at the park and museum, which are designed for children and set to coincide with the half-term holidays.
