A COLLEGE rugby team is hoping to make it fifth time lucky as they compete in the final of a tournament.
Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, from Darlington, have faced rivals Hartlepool Sixth Form College in the final of the Lynn Mock Memorial Trophy four times before, but they have yet to win the cup.
Queen Elizabeth won through to the final by beating Emmanuel College, Gateshead, 14-10 in the semi-final.
Chris Dodd scored two tries, which were converted by Jason Todd.
"It was a good, close game and at the end we were hanging on and just managed to win," said coach Paul Edwards.
The final takes place next month at Gateshead Fell Rugby Football Club.
