A CONTROVERSIAL application to build a house in a back garden looks likely to be given planning permission.
Six residents have written to Teesdale District Council to object to the application to build a three-bedroomed house in the garden of 23 Woodside, Barnard Castle.
But planners have recommended the application be approved.
Councillors will vote on the application when they meet on Wednesday.
