THREE stars of TV show Byker Grove are taking to the stage for a musical set in the North-East.
Agony aunt and novelist Denise Robertson's stage show Fine, Fine, Fine! played to sell out audiences in its first run, at South Shields' Customs House, in 2002.
It has been re-scripted and, with two songs added, will have its second run at Durham's Gala Theatre, from Wednesday.
The cast is headed by three members of the North-East children's television series, Byker Grove.
Sarah Lawton, better known as Chrissie in the TV show, plays Julie Jones, opposite Daymon Britton, Dom in Byker Grove, as her illicit lover. Fellow Byker star Neil Armstrong, Fraser in the soap, directs and acts in the play.
The show runs until Saturday, February 26, with curtain up at 7.30pm nightly, and at 2pm for matinee performances, on Thursday and Saturday.
