GUIDES made contact with people across the world at the weekend with the help of amateur radio enthusiasts.
Girls from Northallerton and Bedale chatted to members of packs in countries including Holland and Denmark by two-way radio.
The equipment was set-up by Hambleton Amateur Radio Club in Northallerton Scout Hut for Thinking Day.
The event aimed to encourage guides to make new friends and think about the international nature of the guide movement.
Guides who participated were also able to earn their communications badge.
Thinking Day is held annually on the third full weekend in February to celebrate the birthday of Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of the Guide movement.
The anniversary of his birthday takes place tomorrow.
