A TEENAGER was impaled on a door handle at his home.
Neil Hennessy, 15, of Cramlington, Northumberland, fell on to a brass door handle, which penetrated his right eye socket by several inches.
He was rescued after 20 minutes by paramedics and firefighters at his home on the Southfield estate.
Neil is recovering in Newcastle General Hospital. He may have to undergo surgery but has been told his eye has not been damaged.
