THE musical programme for two concerts in aid of The Northern Echo's Forgotten Hero appeal has been announced.
The Normandy Band of the Queen's Division will play at the Sunday afternoon events at Darlington's Dolphin Centre on March 13 and April 10. The first concert will feature tenor Barry Dargue and music including Procession of the Nobles, the 1812 Overture, songs from South Pacific, Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma, Dixieland jazz and Lord of the Dance.
The second concert will feature mezzo soprano Ann Tallis and music of the Royal Air Force, plus the William Tell Overture, Spitfire Prelude, Carnival of Venice, West Side Story and Beatles' songs.
The choir from Middleton St George Primary School, near Darlington, will perform on both days.
Tickets for the concerts cost £10 each and are available from the Dolphin Centre or The Northern Echo office, in Priestgate, Darlington.
