SACKED Newcastle manager Sir Bobby Robson has teamed up with investors to launch a sports legends company, reports claimed yesterday.
Sir Bobby is the first of several sports celebrities to be signed up by Nobok, a sports media business to launch in the spring, The Daily Telegraph reported.
It will offer sports fans access to stars through an interactive website, and events, and is launching in April with funds of £10m.
Although Sir Bobby is not believed to have invested his own money in the group, he will be employed under a three-year contract.
Nobok hopes to sign up more major UK and world sporting legends to supply content, interact on web forums, host events and provide memorabilia for online auctions.
It will launch first in the UK, before a US launch later this year, followed by further launches in Asia, South America and Europe.
Nobok founder and major investor Andrew Strode-Gibbons started work on the company 18 months ago.
Sir Bobby's London agent declined to comment on the reports yesterday.
