AN event aimed at promoting good health among Darlington's population of over-50s was staged yesterday.
The Positive Health day, at the Blackwell Grange Hotel, was held to mark the third anniversary of the Growing Older Living in Darlington - Gold - organisation.
Visitors to the event were able to sample a range of alternative therapies, including head massage, aromatherapy and reflexology.
They were also shown the benefits of healthy eating and regular exercise.
The group is holding a meeting called Rooting out age discrimination on Friday, March 4, from 2pm until 4pm.
It will be held in Havelock Street Community Centre, Katherine Street, Darlington.
