The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) Tees Valley has made two appointments.
JOE KEITH and JOHN HOGG bring a wealth of experience from local business and education sectors.
Mr Keith is senior regional industrial organiser with the Transport and General Workers Union (TGWU). During his ten-year career with the TGWU, he worked as regional and national tutor for the organisation before taking up his present role.
Through a variety of community-based projects, he brings to the council a broad range of local business and adult education knowledge and contacts.
He said: "I am very much looking forward to playing an active role on the council and to seeing further important developments in learning provision in our area."
Mr Hogg has been principal of Middlesbrough College for four years. His career there spans 14 years, initially joining as principal lecturer when it was Kirby College.
He said: "The development of further education colleges is a key part of taking learning provision in this area forward, and I am thrilled to have been accepted on to the council, having worked with the LSC Tees Valley for many years."
