GUIDES made new friends in countries all over the world at the weekend with the help of amateur radio enthusiasts.
Guides from Northallerton and Bedale chatted to members of packs in countries including Holland and Denmark by two-way radio.
The equipment was set up by Hambleton Amateur Radio Club in Northallerton Scout Hut for Thinking Day.
The event aimed to encourage guides to make new friends and think about the international nature of the guide movement. Guides who took part also earned their communications badge
