A FREED rapist struck again in an early morning attack on a seafront path.
Clifford Church, 42, who had served eight years in jail, repeatedly raped a married woman.
She was walking on The Stray in Redcar when Church attacked.
He was released in 2003 after his 1997 sentence for raping a woman in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.
Church, who lived with a girlfriend in Redcar, has pleaded guilty to eight sex charges, including four of rape, two of attempted rape and also threatening to kill the woman during her ordeal on October 23.
The woman's husband was at Teesside Crown Court when Church appeared, escorted by three guards.
Church, who was brought from Frankland Prison, Durham, was remanded back into custody for a psychiatric report from a special sex offender's unit in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and a probation report.
Church, of Lincoln Road, Redcar, will be sentenced in mid-April.
