Environmentalist Dr David Bellamy will lend his support to efforts to revive a Darlington park when he plants trees in the town's North Lodge Park, on Tuesday.
The ten trees have been donated by Cummins Engines, through its Tree Appeal - an initiative designed to help companies and organisations make a difference to their surroundings.
All trees planted will be native British broad-leaf trees, such as oak, beech and ash.
Dr Bellamy will also attend a gala dinner at Darlington Football Club's Williamson Motors Stadium, when he will be presenting awards to businesses in recognition of their contribution to the environment.
