LAZY aerobics, hand massage and workshops in positive pasta and making your own salads and juice were on offer at a pampering day in Stanley last week.
A group of 20 young women were at Stanley Youth Centre for the healthy living event arranged by the centre's education in the community workers.
The event, aimed at women and girls over the age of 12, was designed to promote healthy eating, regular exercise and relaxation. Visitors also had a chance to try different sports and aromatherapy and were given advice on increasing their intake of fruit and vegetables.
Youth centre manager Gillie Littlemore said: "We organised this event to coincide with National Eating Disorders Awareness Week as we take the issue of eating disorders, especially among young people, very seriously.
"We felt it was important to raise awareness among young women in the area about how to have a positive approach to eating healthily and feeling good. The activities will help young women to look after themselves and consider their well-being as a whole."
