Children at Hurworth School Maths and Technology College, near Darlington, have raised £532 for the tsunami appeal by having a non-uniform day.
Year eight has also raised £111 by hosting a hot dog stand and year ten has raised £130 by running a tuck shop.
The school is also planning to hold an Easter draw, to include a PlayStation 2, a football shirt and a large teddy bear among the prizes.
