A SCHOOL drama team went without a night's sleep to raise cash for families with disabled children.
The event at Wolsingham School and Community College raised £300 for the Independence 4 Disability group in Weardale.
Ten students from Year 10 and one from Year 11 wrote and staged their own play for paying pupils and staff.
Performers Katie Gunning, 15, and Year 10s Danielle Mustarde, Tom Burton, Megan Edey, Sarah Thirling, Kelly Flounders, Jemima Willis, Robert Harrison, Alex Close, Jayne Harrison and Nicole Rowley were sponsored to stay awake.
Wolsingham recently gained Performing Arts College status and the group plans to work more on their play and put on public shows.
