A PEDESTRIAN killed in a two-car accident on Thursday evening was named by police yesterday .
He was 58-year-old Barrie Kemp-Stuart, of no fixed abode. Mr Kemp-Stuart, who was originally from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, was hit by one of the cars as he walked along the A171 Scarborough to Whitby road at Stainsacre, North Yorkshire, at 6.35pm.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. An inquest is expected to be opened and adjourned on Monday.
The 18-year-old female driver of one of the cars was treated for minor injuries. Any witnesses are asked to call PC Dan Hughes on (01723) 509555.
