CLEM James, a veteran seadog of the North Yorkshire coast, has been honoured by the RNLI for his long service to the lifeboats at Staithes and Runswick Bay.
Now aged 85, Mr James, who lives overlooking the picturesque harbour at Staithes, already holds the MBE for his services to the RNLI and the fishing industry and is now to receive a bar to his coveted gold award.
Mr James was chairman of the influential North Eastern Seas Fisheries Committee for several years.
