YOUNGSTERS in Teesdale and Wear Valley are being urged to take advantage of a card scheme which allows them free access to leisure.
The 'Buzzin' Leisure Card scheme was put together by young people working on the Durham Health Initiative Action Research project in partnership with Teesdale Leisure Services, Investing in Children and Durham Dales PCT.
The scheme allows free entry at Teesdale Sports Centre to activities such as Jades Lifestyle Fitness Suite, fitness classes, swimming and saunas.
It was funded with £50,000 SRB money and youngsters aged 13 to 18 are being urged to make the most of the opportunity while the funding is still available.
The cards can be collected from Teesdale Sports Centre, telephone (01833) 690400 for details.
