POLICE are looking for the owners of medals from the First and Second World Wars.
The medals, which are in good condition, were recovered in Newcastle and are believed to be stolen property.
Eight of the 13 medals have names or identification markings on them.
Four medals have the inscription 44790, PTE. J. PELLOW R.A.M.C.
Four medals have the inscription 2137, CPL. J. RITCH-IE, GORD. HIGHRS.
Anyone who recognises these medals or is able to help is asked to call PC Scott Neil on 0191-2146555, extension 62115.
