TELEVISION and film star Honor Blackman surprised theatre-goers last night when she made a guest appearance in a play.
She was the celebrity guest at the first night of The Play What I Wrote, being staged at the Theatre Royal, in Newcastle, until Saturday.
The play celebrates the life and work of comics Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise and each performance features a star appearance. When it was staged at Darlington's Civic Theatre, Nigel Havers took on the role of the surprise guest.
Kim Wall, Clive Hayward and Andy Williams star in the acclaimed production, which is direct from the West End.
Tickets cost £6.50 to £21.50, available from the Theatre Royal booking office on 0870 905 5060 or online at www.theatreroyal.co.uk
