A MARTIAL arts expert who has already turned his hand to acting is now moving into the publishing world.
Hardman Ian "The Machine" Freeman is editing a new publication, called Fighters Only, which covers the world of The Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The 37-year-old, from Leadgate, near Consett, County Durham, recently landed a role in the independent film Sucker Punch, directed by Malcolm Martin, who also worked on the Brad Pitt movie Fight Club.
The magazine, which costs £3.50 and is available from retailers, including WH Smiths, approached the British champion because of his record in the sport.
Mr Freeman said: "I accepted the job because I know the magazine will be done in a way that will bring the sport we love so much to the attention of millions of people.
"It will also provide people within the sport with a dedicated product to read, collect and from which to collate information - something that has not been provided before."
The magazine includes training tips, news, competitions, fight reports, interviews and a history of the sport.
