AN MP is lending her support to a new campaign to ensure every home in Teesside has a smoke alarm.
Stockton South MP Dari Taylor is joining firefighters today at Asda in Thornaby to promote the scheme, called Egg for an Alarm.
Organised by Cleveland Fire Brigade, the scheme involves shoppers buying a chocolate Easter egg which they can exchange for a smoke alarm.
The egg is donated by the fire brigade to a children's hospital or care home.
