PHOTOGRAPHS of one of the country's oldest fairs are going on display.
Scenes from Appleby Horse Fair, in Cumbria, which dates from 1685, have been captured in pictures taken in 1969.
The exhibition - Appleby Revisited - will be in Darlington Arts Centre, and will feature the work of Dave Thomas. He will give a talk to launch the exhibition.
Mr Thomas said: "I am proud of these pictures. They were taken during one of the most productive periods in my career as a photographer. I still believe in the photographer's right to be curious and illuminate areas of human existence that might otherwise remain unseen."
The exhibition will open at 7.30pm on Wednesday, and will be on show until Saturday, May 28.
