A SINGLE mother who used an elderly woman's details to buy mail order goods has been jailed for six months.
Andrea Little, 24, bought £450 of items from Grattan, Littlewoods and Next using the name of the woman who had previously lived in her house in Slaley Court, Doxford Park, Sunderland.
Newcastle Crown Court heard how, within days of taking over the tenancy, she started creating the accounts.
Robin Patton, in mitigation, said: "This was, more than anything, feckless behaviour - trying to find a short-term remedy to the situation she found herself in."
Little admitted three charges of obtaining property by deception and three of attempting to obtain property by deception.
