TEENAGE entrepreneurs have organised a battle of the bands competition in their own sixth form common room.
The 12 young people hope that more than 180 musicians from the Tees Valley will take part in the competition, on Wednesday, April 13, at Stockton Sixth Form College.
Tickets are being made available to the public for the event which has been organised by Forza, a group of students who have set up their own entertainment management company as part of a national young enterprise project.
Forza member Richard Holt, 18, who is studying A-level politics, media and critical thinking, said: "This is a fun event and we want to let people know it is happening.
"We even have a place on our judging panel for a suitable volunteer to sit on our judging panel. This is going to be a fantastic event and the money that is raised will be ploughed into prizes for future events."
The young enterprise scheme at Stockton Sixth Form College was organised by head of economics, Steve Earnshaw.
The event is open to anyone, and tickets for the contest will be available from the college reception on weekdays. Any contacts or queries should be forwarded to Richard on 07795 294 954.
